About CrankHouse
While exploring through a multitude of “anarchy”
servers out there, many of us have noticed a few things almost all of
them seemed to have in common... Entity Culling (When a certain number
of entities in a chunk hits a cap, it'll clear them), Reduced mob spawn
rates, and even going as far as to not allow modified/hacked clients
clients... That made little to NO sense to us for a genre that is known
for mods, and for where astonishingly willful things are achieved, thus
we arrived here and CrankHouse was born...
CrankHouse was founded in Febuary of 2022
following a major change occuring to a server many of us frequented,
with no form of communication, rhyme, or reason. This got us to think
about some of the lackings of the server and things that could be
changed. Entities didn't path properly, nor spawn at the correct rates.
We couldn't path nor build on the roof of the Nether to reduce travel
times to reach further distances or make smaller farms. Then the nail in
the coffin, server performance.
As that server hit its peaks and people started
making more intensive builds and farms we noticed the TPS would drop
regularly below 20, even as low as 13 and this was a problem. We stopped
being able to use flying machine based doors, amongst many other neat
things like "Stacking Raid Farms" Not to mention it had absolutely
zero/null administration, and it was purely plugin ran. So from there it
gave us a bit of an idea in mind on what we would like to change, what
we thought might be a bit better, and so here we are...
CrankHouse Goal
CrankHouse is an Anarchy Survival Multiplayer
and our primary goal revolves around making sure mob spawn rates, caps,
and behaviors are as vanilla as possible while also ensuring a stable
play enviorment for client and non-client players alike.
We hope to limit down hacks/modules in which a
lot of people would consider "game-breaking" for example being able to
travel at well over 100 blocks per second, or teleporting on click when
attacking, or even flying without an Elytra and Rockets. We find a lot
of these types of modules tend to ruin the game not just for the user
but for the other players on the server itself, I mean what's Minecraft
without at least putting a little bit of blood and sweat into it.
Feel free to experiment around with what does
and doesn't work. Don't worry you wont get banned, at worst you'll be
kicked for 5 seconds.
